A Doosan cobot is the first to run the peaqOS Pro stack

Doosan Robotics and peaq say an A-Series collaborative robot now carries an onchain identity and a performance record. Students in Munich are the first group on it.

On 17 September Doosan Robotics and peaq said the first Doosan A-Series cobot was running the peaqOS Pro stack. The machine is described as having an onchain identity and a record of performance, with a path to charging for spare capacity. The companies also say operational video stays off that record.

The unit has been placed with a supervised student cohort at the Technical University of Munich. A hackathon is scheduled for late October. Training material from the program is meant to feed Doosan’s operator curriculum. That is a university deployment with a defined next date, which is more concrete than a keynote, and still one robot.

Doosan has a separate line of work with Nvidia on simulation, world models and onboard compute. peaq does not replace that. It is an identity and settlement layer on top of a machine that already has a safety certification and a controller. The useful follow-up is whether a second and a third cobot come online with the same record, and whether anyone outside the announcement pays for the spare time.
