FieldAI is reported to be raising $700 million, and it is not closed

Business Insider’s account, from 2 October, is a term sheet at a $10 billion valuation. The product is a robot brain, not another humanoid. One source so far.

FieldAI is reportedly raising $700 million at a $10 billion valuation, @MechEconomy noted on 8 October, citing a Business Insider report from 2 October. That would be about five times a $2 billion mark from last year, when the company raised roughly $405 million from backers including Nvidia’s NVentures, Intel Capital, Bezos’s family office, Emerson Collective, and Khosla. It is a term sheet. It is single-source. It is not closed.

The product is not a humanoid. Field Foundation Models are meant to be a robot-agnostic brain for humanoids, quadrupeds, drones, and rovers in places that move: construction, data centers, defense. Reported contracts since June put cumulative revenue and bookings above $135 million. Those bookings are part of the same reported picture, not a filing this desk has read.

Set beside other private marks people are using this week — Physical Intelligence around $11 billion, Skild AI above $14 billion — the number says investors are paying for the software layer rather than another chassis. A mark is not a factory. Until the round closes, it is a conversation with a price on it.
